here's all i bought this month!
i kid you not as soon i got the notification on X(Twitter) i immediately bought it not even half an hour after the post. i really like this pink color used in the cover image. and the music is top notchuli (notch & patchouli pun (punchouli?! ok i really need to stop) ) and its only for the fair price of 100jpy! who wouldnt buy this? my honest opinion is that i really dont like chiptune much. but this hooked me up (hiding the other 6 albums i purchased focusing on chiptune) ^-^' uhm anyways so... looking at the artist's X account i can see that he's following reitaisai and meikasai. so maybe he is participating in reitaisai or meikasai?!!! but lookig at the recent reitaisai place assignment the circle is not here T-T so maybe next reitaisai (i hope) i mean he really has every thing checked out. cover and the back cover. really looking forward into seeing him in events!
finally! the CD i've been waiting for 3 months to arrive finally arrived!! it was delayed because i put the incorrect address for the paypal shipping because there were not many fields available to put all the information, i bought this right before buying After Night (its delayed because i accidentally picked surface instead of air small package and i noticed that it was a little more pricey thought just that they changed the price but turns out they removed small air package completely from neokyo and even i think in every proxy) so im really excited if its also gonna come or not, before the CD arrived i asked the artist if they could give me a download link for the album to listen to while waiting for the CD to arrive. and it turns out the songs that the artist gave me was a little different from the CD version like the last track was 2 seconds longer and there is data inside the CD. not just music. there is a readme.txt and a gb file of the whole album and the whole album but in .songraw file format, and its really cool that the CD comes with stickers. at first i thought it was the "MusicROM". the artist was talking about and still to this day do not know what is a MusicROM and where is it, the reason i really got hooked with the album is because it had the obscure and mysterious ridiculous game arrange. i really dont know anyone who arranges ridiculous game it sad to see that it has so many potentials but is just obscure i tried asking 96X to make an arrangement of ridiculous game but he said that he is now focusing on ZUN's songs
Unofficial XFDthis is the fourth volume of 96X's touhou 8bit arranges! the thing i like the most about this album is that he's really generous with the price and the length duration of the songs and not only that but i find it really awesome that theres a lot of back(okina matara reference) notes which adds a lot to the songs, do yall also notice a pattern here is it just me? it's always EoSD, MoF, EoSD and MoF, but wait. what if he arranges all of EoSD and MoF songs?? will there be a compilation and maybe possibly the singular arranges gets deleted? or will he continue to do the same with different games. PLEASE HSIFS AND LOLK!!
the albums that i've been waiting a month to arrive!!! really didnt disappoint especially the first track, this is the first ever CD by atrobool or maybe not because maybe they have tons of original albums but i dont keep track of them because i mainly focus to touhou album and stuff (such as mangas but ever since my first mangas i changed my mind) the XFD was really cool and smooth at mixing so much that whenever i hear the best part/the part from the XFD i assume its gonna switch to the next song loll, the second was this trap genre that sounds a little like juke or footwork my favorite songs have to be from track 4-6 if i had to pick one it would be track 6
the XFD was superr short less than a minute. so i made an unofficial XFD just for you! the first was so cool, it was a remastered/refix(???idkkk???) version of a song made posted 9 years ago (2 years from the new version to the old one) and it was actually the second-first song rhyktz ever in their soundcloud the old version was more of a nu-style gabba or mainstream har-🫢 anyways could you imagine? 2 years difference and they still both sound good?!! the second track is a vocal track. so many wikis accidentally list Secret R as the arranger. no Secret R is a vocalist and only a vocalist (also a lyricist) her voice is so cute but also really quiet, the third track's genre is freestyle and no. i dont mean freestyle like hip-hop, trap or rapping, wait... trap and rap woahhh, anyways yeah its not what "freestyle" you usually mean but i think its a combination of hardstyle and trance (or freeform hardcore) free(freeform hardcore or trance)style(hardstyle). pretty confusing but you'll get used to it if your really obsessed with music just like me, im trying to hard to summarize this album but theres so many things to say because this is just the GOAT, the fourth track is really awesome with its really noticable repeating pattern, my favorite by far is Beer a really hard hardstyle track, btw when you get the CD/DL you will get 2 bonus tracks (vocal tracks a.k.a acapella of track 2 & 7)
i almost forgot about the unofficial XFD, so as a sorry i changed my ways of mixing songs. instead of mashing them up like a DJ Mix i cut all the songs into the best part separately and then in the end i mixed them all giving them the crossfade-ish feeling and also im gonna make an XFD soon for Night Rulers 2x2
Unofficial XFDthis is the album i was impatient about. i even put it as my discord pfp lol the first track is the second best track in this album or even in this whole circle. to be honest i havent listened to many 満月の竹林 arranges so maybe im not used to it and when i got the download from the artist it said that the first track was only made by Doublenegative but thankfully i also requested the back and front and it said it was made by Rhyktz and Doublenegative. didnt really even need that i can anyways tell that its also made by rhyktz. iconic so bad, i really liked the 6th track but not as much as the 7th track guess whats the genre? MOOMBAHSTYLE yes, the obscure genre that you cannot find it anywhere and if you found it its descripted wrong (probably) this is by far my favorite and obscure genre and also Lonely werewolf arrange!!! do yall know rolling sky? (you)yep, you know the level kelper's dream? (you)yep, guess what? the fifth track has the same samples as in kelper's dream. if you dont know what samples im talking about its this
theres really not a singular XFD from this album but there are short and cut versions of 3 songs in this album and missed 2 other songs and because of that the wiki unknowingly put only 3 tracks when its 5 tracks, one thing i really like about the first track is that Secret R's voice changed so much. way more clearer and way happier and cheerful, way grown, way matured. this is a growth literally nobody can miss(/notice), not only her voice is good but also the arrangement with only 2 years difference. if that was me i would take 10 years minimum it achieve the same changes as Rhyktz and the fourth track's name is literally so funny its title is literally "Wings not to fly" and the original is seraphic chicken because literally. chickens have wings, not to fly
i also noticed that theres this pattern with the teasers that Rhyktz posted about this album (XFD but separate) its that every song is always 30 seconds long and forgot to post about Wirbel 2019 but do not worry. i mixed all the songs and followed the pattern
Unofficial XFDa long time ago when this album was first posted about in X i replied saying "will you be releasing a download version?" and the artist replied with, im trying to make this out and similar as the original post as much but because my account was deleted and therefore the reply got deleted. "we'll open a booth account later, but we are a little busy" and its crazy to me how Programmed Formula (the original album) the wiki page said that it has a BOOTH page but got deleted. so maybe they're trying to resell their stuff in BOOTH, btw what do you think will the next album be? they refixed Night Rulers, then Programmed Formula. OH DO YOU THINK THEY'LL REMAKE DANMAKU INCINERATION???!!! anyways back to commenting about this album. the first track is a mashup of Mayohiga spirits you away and Hellcat I from Programmed Formula boom! *Clap* Hellcat spirits you away, that was so smart. my favorite song was Border Boner [Doublenegative Flip] it added way lot more breakcore and it really sounds awesome
